What Is This and Why Should I Care?

You know how every car has a license plate? And when you buy a used car, you can check its history to see if it's been in accidents or had problems?

Right now, AI programs don't have that. They can move from one company to another with no record. If one gets caught doing something bad, it can just show up somewhere else and nobody knows.

We built a system that gives AI programs their own "license plates" and history records. When an AI leaves one place, it gets a signed receipt. When it shows up somewhere new, that receipt can be checked.

Why does this matter to you?

• It means companies can be held accountable for their AI
• It means bad AI can be tracked and stopped
• It means smaller companies can compete with the big ones (right now only big companies can afford to manage AI safely)
• It means insurance companies can start offering coverage for AI (just like car insurance, but for AI programs)

We submitted this to the government (NIST) for review on March 6, 2026. It's free, open, and anyone can use it.

Think of it this way: we built the DMV for AI. Nobody loves the DMV, but imagine roads without it.
